Phase1 summer job story 2019
”I am Fan, 2nd year master student in Translational Medicine at University of Helsinki. During summer 2019, I worked as a SAS programmer in Biostatistics and Modelling team in R&D in Orion. My task mainly involved in programming data sets according to SEND data standards and visualising non-clinical data.
This is my first work experience in a Finnish company. I must say I really enjoy working here in Orion. I enjoyed every lunch talk, crazy laugh from coffee room, and of course, every battle on the tennis court with other Orion fellows. At work, I was given enough time to learn new tools and my supervisor and workmates offered me help and guidance whenever I needed.
I also appreciate Orion offers Phase1 summer workers a platform, such as lectures, talks, trainings, mentoring program, factory visit and so on, to learn about the pharmaceutical business and to build network. Overall, I strongly recommend you to apply to work in this Finnish company with an international mind. ”
