Professionals

The pharmaceutical industry offers a wide variety of challenging career opportunities for top professionals.

Our experts work in pharmaceutical research and development, and pharmaceutical production, for example. Orion also employs professionals in business, engineering and the humanities.

We typically work in teams and in projects that involve people from many different professions. Multi-disciplinary collaboration and open interaction are prerequisites for job satisfaction, development and new ideas.

I work as a project manager in Fermion’s unit in Oulu. We manufacture a wide range of demanding active pharmaceutical ingredients, which naturally brings variety to the factory environment. The very best thing about our work community is the supportive atmosphere and the hard-working professionals. Because it’s easy to change units within the company, I have also had the opportunity to work in Espoo and Hanko. I have advanced in my career and I’ve been given more and more responsibility.”

I joined Orion in 2018 as a development engineer. On the very first day, I had an in-depth discussion with my supervisor about the direction of my career and my development path in the company. We talked about the kinds of duties that I would have and the things that would support my career plan. “Orion invests heavily in training. No matter what position you have, you won’t be left on your own – you'll be provided with skills and training. More experienced people with different educational backgrounds will also be on hand to exchange thoughts and ideas with.”

I have a doctorate in pharmacy and I joined Orion in 2010 to carry out research in biopharmaceuticals, which is my area of specialism. Research and development offers career paths to experts with various educational backgrounds, as well as opportunities for job rotation between organisations. Everyone’s contribution to the common goal will be appreciated. We thrive on team work – for us 1+1=3. Our work is innovative and new ideas are welcomed. By working on ideas together, they can be taken to new levels.”

Orion develops its operations continually, and I am able to genuinely influence my role. The life cycle of systems may be long but this does not mean that change does not happen. We are constantly striving to stay in the vanguard of the field and we work on the same questions as any technology company. Orion also offers stability and permanence to its employees.”

I work as a Product Manager in Orion's self-care product marketing team of ten in Finland. I’m motivated by learning new things and adding to my previous knowledge and skills. In my role, I am encouraged to propose, design and test new ideas. I love my job because I get to work as part of a great team to give Orion's self-care products a face."
