The Sirona Group, based in Bensheim, Germany, the leading global manufacturer of dental equipment, is expanding cooperation with Oriola Oy, a healthcare products marketer and pharmaceutical distributor headquartered in Espoo, Finland. Oriola is the marketer of the Sirona range of high tech equipment for dental medicine in Sweden and Finland since 1999, and the Baltic countries as of early 2001. Sales by Oriola have shown good growth during the past two years. Sirona today announced its intention to extend cooperation with Oriola as a preferred partner covering most Scandinavian markets and the Baltic countries. A Letter of Intent was signed about the plans recently.
As part of the deal, Oriola will start up a marketing company in Denmark for dental care products in the very near future. The new company Oriola A/S Denmark will be the exclusive distributor of Sirona Dental Systems products and spare parts in Denmark. A fairly quick start for the business operations can be anticipated.
The relationship with Sirona well supports Oriola's goal to strengthen its foothold within its home base, i.e. Scandinavia and the area surrounding the Baltic Sea. Oriola aims at product representation agreements that allow it to provide its clients with competitive quality benefits resulting from a high service level that can be reached throughout the geographical operating region by sharing the resources in technical service and product consultancy in areas requiring specialty knowledge.
