Ferrosan entrusting its pharmaceutical distribution in Finland to Oriola

The Danish healthcare company Ferrosan A/S is transferring the distribution of its pharmaceuticals and other healthcare products in Finland to Oriola as of 1 April 2002. The sales in Finland by Ferrosan, represented by its local subsidiary Oy Ferrosan Ab, comprise vitamins, minerals and so-called cosmeceuticals, the annual volume being in the region of 8.5 million euros.

Oriola, a business division of the Orion Group, is a pharmaceutical distributor and wholesaler and a marketer of a broad range of equipment and supplies to the healthcare sector. With a total invoicing of 623 million euros in 2001, Oriola is the second largest healthcare distributor in Finland.
