Orion is committed to responsible business conduct and strives to promote ethically approved practices, act ethically and with good business practices. We take seriously any suspicions about potentially illegal or unethical practices and we encourage bringing these to our attention, whenever there are grounds for doing so.
Orion's whistleblowing channel provides all employees, suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders with an opportunity to report suspected misconduct of our company's policies and that can harm individuals, Orion Group or the environment.
Examples of practices that can be reported through the whistleblowing channel:
- Financial irregularities (including the suspected violations of provisions and regulations of the financial market)
- Suspicion of giving or receiving a bribe
- Significant breaches of environmental regulations and environment contamination
- Serious forms of discrimination or harassment
Orion’s whistleblowing channel for reporting misconduct complements the usual communications and reporting channels. For reporting any misconduct, primarily the route is to contact own supervisor, the supervisor’s supervisor, the Human Resources department or the Group Internal Audit.
The organisation may be prevented from processing a case you have reported, if it includes information that is prohibited by law. When reporting a case, one should refrain from including personal data, especially special categories of data. Special categories of data reveal a natural person’s:
- racial or ethnic origin
- political opinions
- religious or philosophical beliefs
- trade union membership
- data concerning health
- sexual orientation or data concerning a natural person’s sex life
- genetic data, biometric data for the purpose of uniquely identifying a natural person
We process reported cases quickly and impartially and, to the extent possible, confidentially. We take measures to end the conduct and activities that are in breach of our operating principles and the action is on a case-by-case basis, in the manner most appropriate for the situation in question.
Suspected misconduct and violations of our company’s policies can be reported by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. All reports are handled confidentially by Deloitte’s whistleblowing team.
You can choose to disclose your identity or conceal it when reporting. However, we recommend submitting your contact information so that you can be contacted, if needed, during the investigation process. Orion as the data controller, processes your personal information on the basis of its legitimate interests in order to develop and maintain good administrative practices (e.g. compliance with the rules and laws).
