Professionalism is characterised by competence, diligence, responsibility, and compliance with the rules. Orion’s success is based on professional and responsible behaviour as well as best practices. By applying accepted and ethical standards, we deserve our place as the trusted supplier and partner for our customers and the opportunity to select the best partners for us.
One of our priority interests is to ensure that we play by the rules. By doing so, we can expect that also our business partners understand and accept our standards and that they also act responsibly.
- All Orion employees are expected to follow the law and adhere to ethically acceptable standards.
- Compliance with the law is a requirement at Orion. Each employee is expected to be familiar with the laws and regulations applicable to his/her area of responsibility.
All business transactions shall be conducted in favour of the interests of Orion.
- Orion’s employees or any other persons acting on behalf of Orion are supposed not to offer, give or accept bribes. Representatives of authorities shall not be offered any inappropriate economic benefit for the purpose of promoting Orion’s business or pursuing the company’s other interests.
- Charitable donations and support to patient organisations paid from Orion's funds are subject to management consideration and decision-making.
- The regulations concerning inside information shall be obeyed, independently of the organisational status of a person holding such information.
- Each employee is expected to carefully use, treat and protect Orion’s business assets, including those of immaterial nature, such as patented structures of compounds, proprietary methods and knowhow, as well as the trademarks, brands and logos. Also information systems are core assets.
- The principles, rules and applicable competitive legislation shall be respected and obeyed.
- Every Orion employee is entitled to good, courteous and respectful treatment by his or her supervisors, subordinates and fellow employees.
- Every Orion employee involved in the R&D, supply chain, quality assurance and/or marketing of our products carries responsibility for the safety of our products in proper use.
- Orion develops innovative, new, more effective, safer and more cost-efficient drugs and diagnostic tests for healthcare needs. Every employee involved in Orion’s R&D activities is requested to obey the regulatory standards and ethical principles of pharmaceutical R&D.
