Sales and Marketing

Orion’s products are marketed worldwide, in more than a hundred countries. The company’s own sales organisations cover 21 European countries. In most of these markets, Orion is present via its own local marketing company. In some eastern European markets, the presence is in the form of a representative office. As a rule, the names of these companies are Orion Pharma , which is the globally adopted and registered auxiliary business name for Orion's pharmaceutical business. Correspondingly, the diagnostics business promotes its products under  the registered name Orion Diagnostica. Foreign Orion Diagnostica marketing subsidiaries  are promoting Orion's diagnostic products in Sweden, Denmark and Norway.

 

Partnerships are important

In markets where Orion is not present with its own sales organisation, the company's pharmaceutical products are marketed through partners. Diagnostic products are also marketed through an extensive network of importers and agents.

Orion’s most important marketing partners for pharmaceuticals products are Novartis, Pfizer, Hospira, Nippon Kayaku, GTx and Hexal.

Orion, in turn, is a marketing partner for many pharmaceutical companies. Orion’s portfolio includes several products licensed in from other companies for marketing in countries covered by the license agreement.
