Orion is an innovative European R&D-based pharmaceuticals and diagnostics company with a special emphasis on developing medicinal treatments and diagnostic tests for global markets.
Orion develops, manufactures and markets human and veterinary pharmaceuticals, active pharmaceutical ingredients and diagnostic tests.
Orion’s customers are mainly healthcare service providers and professionals such as specialist and general doctors, vets, pharmacies, hospitals, healthcare centres, clinics and laboratories. Consumers with pets are another important customer group.
The objective of Orion’s intensive research is to bring new innovative patented proprietary drugs to international markets. Orion’s pharmaceutical R&D focuses on the following core therapy areas:

The present Orion Corporation started operations on 1 July 2006 following the demerger of the former Orion, which was established in 1917. In the demerger, two new companies were established and listed: the present Orion Corporation and Oriola-KD Corporation.
